Take a Scenic Drive

My family has an immense appreciation for simply taking a quiet, scenic drive (although, let’s be honest, sometimes it’s not very quiet when the kids are in the car!). Big Bend National Park boasts more than 100 miles of paved roads which you can explore and enjoy at your own pace. The NPS website mentions the following about its scenic drives:

[The scenic drives] throughout Big Bend National Park showcase not only gorgeous vistas, but also invite you to marvel at the geological splendor, contemplate the lives of early settlers, and observe the incredible diversity of plants and animals that call this home.Taking a scenic drive can be an ideal way to explore the park if you have limited time or if weather is not conducive for other activities.
